Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his role in the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Meloni discovered his passion for acting in his early days at college and studied acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. The characters he has played on television have earned him plenty of recognition. He's been able to easily play characters from both sides of the law to grab an audience's interest. He was the voice of a serial killer in his first television series project however he later chose to portray the character that of a NYPD detective. He's been nominated numerous times for the highly coveted Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his tiny screen performance. The most appealing feature of his face is believed to be his distinctive blue eyes. They are believed to be his trademark. They have aided in depicting tough characters that have charisma. The actor was featured as one of People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
